Breastfeeding women's group PLEASE NOTE THAT I WILL BE AWAY OVER THE MARCH BREAK, therefore there is no group meeting on March 16th. This group meets every Tuesday, 11am - 12 noon, in the community room at Uncommon Kids. Come and meet other women who are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed...you will learn, you will teach, you will inspire and guide one another, you will feel encouraged and supported. This group is drop in and is complementary.
Your 4th Trimester: Navigating New Motherhood. Beginning in May 2010, I am thrilled to announce the launch of my new program for mothers and babies! The first of its kind in the Halifax area, RBDS and Balance Health Centre are working together for you, to support you and your family as you begin the journey of new motherhood. This is a 6 class program (2 hours each class) that will take you through the most common questions and concerns of the immediate post partum period. It is intended for mothers and babies who are 3 months of age or younger (you can start as soon as your baby has been born if you like!). Dates are May 6, 13, 20, 27, June 3 and 10. Breastfeeding 101 is happening on April 10th, 2010! Are you pregnant and exploring the idea of breastfeeding your baby? Robyn Berman invites you to join us for an informative 2 hours of breastfeeding education. You will walk away feeling empowered and full of information as you prepare for this unique yet sometimes challenging relationship with your new baby. Robyn will cover all of the basics, including: which books are helpful (and which are not!), how to achieve the best latch, common challenges and how to overcome them, local community resources, and so much more. YOGABIRTH. Join RBDS and Therapeutic Approach Yoga Studio to spend a transformative morning learning how to prepare your body for labour and birthing. Leave with a feeling of strength and confidence as you combine the wisdom of yoga with education on the modern birthing movement. This workshop will take place at TAYS on Sunday May 9th, 9:30 a.m. - noon. Cost is $45 (+tax) if you register by April 14th.
