Doula Services
My goal as your doula is to emotionally and physically support you (and your family), and to provide you with continuity of care through your pregnancy, labour, delivery and post partum period.
You can expect:
- to gain knowledge of the birth process.
- to have access to information and tools on how to manage your labour, childbirth plans, and post partum period.
- to have unconditional emotional and physical support during your labour and/or post partum period.
- to receive nonjudgmental support and assistance with newborn care, family adjustments, household organization, and meal preparation.
- to get referrals to your local community services.
My fee (which changes based on which service you choose) includes the following:
- a 30 minute complementary consultation (this is when you interview me!)
- up to 6 hours of pre-natal education and birth preparation
- additional email and phone support throughout your pregnancy
- access to my birth/newborn/breastfeeding library (books and videos)
- accompaniment to a pre-natal visit or other pregnancy related appointment
- presence throughout labour, delivery and up to 2 hours post partum
- intake meeting prior to your baby's birth to determine your post partum needs
